My week #26

I don't think I have said this before but these pages are my favourite week ever!  I was sent the stripy pastel washi tape by my friend Malini who writes Colours 'n' me and thought it was incredibly pretty.  It inspired me to do this colourful pastel week.  "And the giraffes?" I hear you ask, well I just think they are cute and I haven't used any of these stickers in a while.

My week in my Filofax #26

It is the last three weeks of the school year now so I am going to be busy until the summer holiday starts.  I have already pencilled in two sports days, a parents evening, a school trip and an exhibition for the next two weeks.  I am going to need a rest by the time they break up!

I am still waiting for the products from coolpencilcase.com to arrive, I think they may have been delayed by customs (boooo!) but I received my first Linky Stationery Box on Friday.  You can read about it here if you want to see what I got.  It was all very sweet and pretty.

Thanks for reading and have a great week!

Linky's lovely stationery box - July '14

If you are a stationery addict like me then you might have already heard of Linky's Dream but if not then let me tell you about this fabulous online retailer.  Linky's Dream is run by a wonderful lady called Leah and she recently came up with the idea of a monthly stationery box, for people who love their pencil case more than their make up bag!  One of the nice things about the Linky Stationery Box is you don't have to sign up for multiple boxes like some monthly beauty box services.  You can choose to buy one at a time or pre order two or more it's completely up to you!

Yesterday there was a knock at my door and a courier handed me this pretty parcel.  I love that it is wrapped up in gift paper instead of a plain, regular old box!

Underneath the wrapping paper there was a couple of layers of bubble wrap to protect the box and then I was greeted with this lovely sight.  How pretty is this!  Leah takes such care when she makes these boxes up, it is like receiving a gorgeous gift instead of a stationery order.

The sticker on top of the box says "Open me I am gorgeous inside and out!" and that is so true!  Under a layer of tissue paper you will find your goodies, I love all the little extras too.  There's mini pompoms, sequins, feathers more confetti and even some sweets!  I must say there was a large lolly in here as well but my youngest daughter spotted it and asked so politely if she could have it I couldn't refuse.... and it kept her busy while I took the rest of these photos!

Some of the items are individually wrapped so I will show you the unwrapped things first.

I absolutely LOVE the green glitter washi tape, it is my favourite colour and sparkly.  I can't wait to use it in my Filofax!  The pink cupcake paperclip is very cute too.  I have seen them around in people's photos on Instagram and always liked them so this was a nice surprise.  There was also a pretty set of project life cards, a sweet butterfly sticker, a butterfly pen, a set of green and white paperclips, some sweets and an awesome pony paperclip.

I have to show you a close up of the pony, it is so cute and the little pink ribbon makes it extra special.  I just love pink and mint green colour combos!

There is a little thank you card inside the box and this has all the links to Linky's Dreams social media accounts and the website.  The envelope is filled with more bits and pieces too so I will show you those next.

A selection of sticky notes (and a business card for the Etsy shop who made the envelope.) I really like the Hello There sticky notes!

Some cute notepapers.

My Melody notepapers

Now onto the wrapped items!

The first one I opened contained this cute dream journal, handmade by Linkys. I also forgot to show you this bow deco tape so I have added it into this pic.

Inside the dream journal.

Kawaii page markers/sticky flags.

Dream notepaper for my Filofax and a beautiful notebook.

A pack of pretty pockets

I love all the bits of decoration from inside and outside the box.  I have popped them all into this little bag so I can reuse them.  I've left the pompoms and feathers inside the box for now.

The Linky Stationery Box  is £15 plus P&P which I think is great value for all the products you get and for the care and attention Leah puts into each one.  Linky's Dreams ship internationally too so anyone can buy one!  When you order a box you can choose which size planner you use from the drop down menu and you can leave a note during the checkout process to say what your favourite colours are.  You see each box is different and made with you in mind!  I love pink and green, sparkly and girly things and that is what I received.  If you check out this Mrs Brimbles post you will see her box had a bit of a bunny theme going on this month and her planner related products were A5 size whereas mine are personal size.

The July box has already sold out but there are still some boxes available for August if you want to grab one before they are gone.  I really love mine and can't wait to see what arrives next month!

My week #25

Ok.... I've just realised that today is the start of week 26, we are half way through the year already!  How scary is that?  Completely too soon to start thinking about, well you know... I can't bring myself to say it on such a hot day in June but it has crossed my mind that I will need to start writing lists and budgeting once the school holidays are over.

Anyway here are my pages for last week, I went with a simple green and blue theme.

My week in my Filofax #25

Sorry if you are having trouble reading my writing!  I've been using a fountain pen and practising my cursive writing on these pages.  I have never been the neatest writer but I love fountain pens so I'm trying to improve my style.

I am waiting for a parcel to arrive from coolpencilcase.com with some products for me to review.  Hopefully it will be here this week so I can show you the cutest pencil case ever!  I really can't wait, I'm a bit excited!  I would be embarrassed but I freely admit I'm a stationery addict so it's not a secret.

Thanks for reading and have a great week!

My week #24

Here are my pages for last week using Mrs Brimbles fox inserts.  I love them!  There is plenty of space for my daily to do list, reminders and blog statistics.  There was even room for me to decorate the pages a bit too.  I mean a week without washi tape doesn't bear thinking about!

My week in my Filofax #24

I was really excited to reach 100,000 views on here last week, it was something I couldn't even imagine happening when I first started writing it.  It does mean a lot to me that people stop by to check out my posts or choose to subscribe or follow so thank you so much!

Sunday was Father's Day here in the UK (and in the USA).  Between birthdays, commitments and appointments we'd had quite a busy week so it was nice to be at home just relaxing and spending time together.  It is true, sometimes the simple things really are the best.
My husband was treated to some lovely artwork by our three year old.  I asked her to draw him a picture, she chose to do a mountain which is a bit random but the thought was there. At least I think it was!

Thanks for reading and have a great week!

Mrs Brimbles fantabulous filo fillers!

Did you read the fab guest post Anna, AKA Mrs Brimbles, wrote for me last month?  Well she also sent me some gorgeous products from her Etsy shop to show you!

Anna makes some really pretty dashboards for your Filofax all of which feature her wonderful artwork.  I love her choice of colours and am especially smitten with the cute brown bunny one!  It reminds me of my rabbit Ruby.

Bunny dashboards and flower paperclips

She has also put her artistic skills to use with a large range of Filofax inserts.  These are available as instant downloads so you can print off as many copies as you want and as the diary pages are undated you could use them whenever you like.  Each set of inserts comes with around 17 different types of pages including diaries, addresses, wish lists, birthdays etc... There are also several different designs to choose from, foxes, bunnies, birds, kitties and lots more.  A real cuteness overload!

Time for the eye candy...

As soon as I saw the summer design dashboards and page markers I just knew I had to move back into my yellow Original to use them in.  They really are perfect for each other.

Anna stocks some nice stationery bits in the shop alongside her own products.  I have two cats at home so I love these note papers and the stickers are so fun and colourful.  The To Do lists are cute and handy too.

I have been using the Fox design week on two page inserts this week so keep an eye out for my next post to see how they look all filled in.  I couldn't resist them, I am a bit obsessed with foxes this year!

You can keep up to date with Anna through her blog and You Tube channel, I am a big fan of both and please pop over to her shop and check out all the goodies.  You wont be disappointed!

*Disclaimer - I was not paid to write this post and all opinions are my own.

P.S I'm so sorry about the title but I just couldn't resist using alliteration!

Thanks

My week #23

If you read my guest post over on Twine it up with trendy twine you will have already seen part of my weekly pages but here is the completed set.  I really like the gold and green together but I did miss my usual colourful look.

My week in my Filofax #23

It was an exciting week for me, as well as my first post on Twine it up I also reached 2000 followers on Instagram.  I know in the world of Instagram that's not a whole lot but it still feels pretty amazing to me!

Sorry this is a short post but I am working on another one I will be publishing later in the week.  Keep an eye out for it because it's about lots of planning goodies!

It's Planner Friday over on Twine it up with Trendy Twine

I am so excited to reveal that I have joined the Annie's Paper Boutique team over on the Twine it up with Trendy Twine blog!  I will be posting over there once a month so please stop by and say hello on my first post.

Today I am talking about how I decorate my diary pages and some of my favourite products....

Hello! I am Amanda and I write a blog called She's Eclectic.  I'm very proud to be joining the Annie's Paper Boutique team and I will be posting on the first Friday of the month about planning and getting organised.

I have been a stationery addict for as long as I can remember. When I started using a Filofax at the beginning of last year I found my passion was reignited as I discovered new ways to get and stay organised. I also met some lovely people who enjoyed decorating their planner pages and they inspired me to have a go myself. I don't think I would have stuck with using my Filofax for the past 18 months if it hadn't been for getting creative with my diary pages.

In today's post I will be showing you some of my favourite products from Annie's Paper Boutique that I use in my planner.

You can read the rest of the post here and I hope to see some of you over there soon.

Thanks!

My week #22

Hello!  I went with a full on girly theme this week as it was my youngest daughter's birthday weekend.  She loves cats and picked these kitty stickers for me to use and pink is her favourite colour.

My week in my Filofax #22

As well as the birthday celebrations it was also the 14th anniversary since I met my husband and it was a school holiday too so the whole week was very family focused.  It was nice to spend time together, though I have quite enjoyed today when it was just me and mini me again.  The house feels so quiet when it is just the two of us compared to the hustle and bustle when everyone is home.

It only feels like two minutes ago that I shared a pic of her 2nd birthday party, time really is flying by!  I am sure if I blink she will suddenly be starting school.  I really can't imagine my little shadow not following me around all day.

Third birthday party

Have a great week!
